Sr. Associate, Surgical Field Sales Retina and Glaucoma (Ontario)

This role is part of Alcon's Sales & Sales Support function, a team that helps provide access to products across all channels in an effort to drive customer satisfaction with eye care professionals to help people see brilliantly. The Sr. Associate I, Surgical Field Sales, is primarily responsible for achieving sales targets by selling Alcon’s Retina and Glaucoma surgical products within the assigned territory (Ontario). You will build strong relationships with customers, address their needs, and ensure satisfaction through product demonstrations and support. In this role a typical day will include:

  • Achieve sales targets for specific accounts or territories across  Retina and Glaucoma surgical portfolios.
  • Promote and sell Alcon products through various sales activities.
  • Develop relationships with retina and glaucoma surgeons, key opinion leaders, and high-volume users.
  • Discover and develop new business opportunities.
  • Execute a sales plan and strategy.
  • Frequently visit customers and provide necessary support.
  • Participate in and conduct events and meetings to update customers on products, services, and prices.
  • Create and maintain a customer database.
  • Conduct competitive market analysis to maintain Alcon's product market share and react to competition initiatives and clinical expertise, resulting in increased sales of the Alcon Intraocular Lens.
  • Provide timely reports and ensure accurate documentation of sales activities and customer interactions according to company needs.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Preferred: B.Sc., B. Comm.
  • 3–5 years pharmaceutical, medical, or surgical sales experience; ophthalmic preferred.
  • Clinical competence with understanding of retina/glaucoma treatments.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and business‑acumen skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and CRM systems.
  • Must reside in the Ontario, or GTA area.
  • Travel up to 60% - Regular territory travel; additional North America travel may be required. Evening/weekend travel for meetings, conferences, and OR support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Surgical ophthalmology or Pharma selling experience.
  • Practice‑development or new‑technology launch experience.

Salary Range: $85,500 – $128,250 CAD Annually. Actual compensation will be based on skills, experience, and qualifications. HOW CAN YOU THRIVE AT ALCON:
