About the Opportunity We are seeking experienced, motivated, and client-focused Tax Preparer Consultants to join our team for the 2027 tax season. As a Tax Preparer Consultant, you will prepare accurate federal and state tax returns, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain compliance with IRS regulations and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns.
- Conduct client interviews to gather tax-related information.
- Analyze financial records, tax documents, and supporting schedules.
- Identify eligible deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
- Communicate with clients regarding tax-related questions and filing requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Meet established deadlines and productivity goals.
- Uphold confidentiality and safeguard sensitive client information.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 1 year of professional tax preparation experience, but welcome new consultants.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
- Experience preparing Form 1040 and related schedules.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable internet connection and secure workspace.
Preferred
- PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) in good standing.
- Enrolled Agent (EA), CPA, or other relevant tax credentials.
- Experience with multiple tax software platforms.
- Small business, self-employed, and Schedule C preparation experience.
- Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
