Telehealth Medical Assistant: Back-office position

Unique Medical Assistant Job – Work From Home! This is a fully-remote position, which means you can work from home. You'll help our existing team be more efficient, by handling operational tasks and making informational phone calls (to help us continue offering the best possible concierge experience to our members). Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and customer service skills, experience managing data and documenting information in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, and the ability to provide professional support. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong front-office support experience, and an energetic, team-oriented mindset. Prior experience supporting patients in hormone replacement therapy (HRT/TRT) or GLP-1 medication services is strongly preferred. Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter, maintain, and update patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Manage follow-up correspondence, treatment updates, and general inquiries.
- Support providers and the RN team.
- Prepare patient charts prior to appointments, ensuring all required documentation, lab results, and medical records are complete and readily available for provider review.
- Assist providers with prescription refill preparation and processing in accordance with established protocols and compliance standards.
- Provide administrative and clinical support to providers, helping facilitate efficient patient care and workflow management.
- Maintain professionalism, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach while supporting healthcare operations.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure efficient workflow, accurate documentation, and a high-quality patient experience.
- Perform additional administrative, medical assistant, and operational support duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A quiet home office area that meets HIPAA privacy standards (separated from other people in a room with a door)
- A desktop or laptop computer and a high-speed internet connection that can support video conferencing.
- Certification with *one* of the following national organizations: American Association of Medical Assistants, American Medical Certification Association, American Medical Technologists, CA Certifying Board of Medical Assistants, or MultiSkilled Medical Certification Institute.
- Front-office and back-office experience.
