TRUCK DISPATCHER

About the Role
As a Truck Dispatcher, you’ll be responsible for scheduling and coordinating drivers, work crews, and vehicles to ensure efficient transport operations. You’ll communicate directly with drivers, supervisors, and clients to manage schedules, resolve issues, and maintain accurate documentation that supports smooth and timely logistics performance.
- Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch drivers, work crews, vehicles, or equipment to appropriate locations based on predetermined schedules, customer requests, or urgent needs.
- Relay information such as work orders, messages, and updates between field teams, supervisors, and clients.
- Communicate with supervisors or customers to resolve problems, service requests, or equipment issues.
- Prepare daily schedules, shift reports, and updates on work progress.
- Manage and organize work requests, completed tasks, customer communications, and cost records.
- Maintain accurate logs of services performed, expenses, and operational data.
- Apply industry knowledge and sound judgment to support daily operations and decision-making.
- Qualifications
- Previous dispatching or closely related experience in the transportation industry (preferred).
- Willingness to learn company-specific computer programs.
- Proficient in English (oral and written).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills.
