[Remote] Appian Senior Consultant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Deft is a consulting company seeking a Senior Consultant with expertise in software delivery and client consulting. The role involves leading technical teams, shaping solution strategies, and delivering scalable solutions to help clients address complex business challenges.
Responsibilities
- Lead software development and enterprise application delivery teams, ensuring high-quality solutions and successful project outcomes
- Manage project risks, dependencies, priorities, and delivery timelines
- Mentor junior consultants through coaching, guidance, and peer reviews
- Partner with clients to understand business objectives and translate requirements into scalable solutions
- Facilitate discovery sessions, requirements gathering, and delivery planning activities
- Communicate project status, recommendations, and strategic guidance to stakeholders
- Design, develop, and deliver enterprise-grade business and software solutions using modern technologies and platforms
- Provide technical leadership through solution design, code reviews, and development best practices
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes
Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading software development teams in client-facing or consulting environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience delivering enterprise software solutions across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Strong experience designing, developing, and delivering enterprise applications using modern software development technologies, low-code platforms, workflow automation solutions, or business process management (BPM) platforms
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, requirements gathering, and delivery ceremonies
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and effectively communicate with both business and technical stakeholders
- Strong leadership, organizational, and consulting skills, with experience leading teams, delegating work, managing risks, and ensuring the successful delivery of commitments
- Experience conducting code reviews and promoting development best practices, solution quality, and maintainability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience designing and delivering complex, scalable software solutions
- Ability to work independently, adapt quickly to new technologies and business domains, and thrive in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of relational database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or MariaDB
- Experience with Appian or comparable low-code, BPM, workflow automation, or enterprise application platforms (e.g., Appian, Power Apps, Bizagi, Pega, Mendix, OutSystems, ServiceNow, Salesforce)
- Appian Lead Developer Certification
- IT consulting experience
