[Remote] Cloud Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. System One is a company seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services. The role involves ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of cloud environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure – 30%
- Build scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud architectures using services from AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Automate Infrastructure and Deployments (IaC) – 25%
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate environment setup
- Monitor, Troubleshoot, and Optimize Systems – 20%
- Use monitoring tools to track system health, resolve performance issues, and continuously optimize cloud resources for cost and efficiency
- Ensure Security and Compliance – 15%
- Apply cloud security best practices, manage IAM policies, and ensure systems comply with organizational and regulatory requirements
- Support CI/CD and DevOps Practices – 10%
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, integrating automation to streamline code deployments and testing workflows
Skills
- US Citizenship is required per government contract
- Minimum of 5 years of Cloud Engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong scripting skills
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Cloud Platform Expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP) – 3+ years
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) – 2+ years
- Networking & Security in the Cloud – 3+ years
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting Tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, etc.) – 2+ years
- Scripting & Automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell) – 3+ years
- CI/CD & DevOps Tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) – 2+ years
