[Remote] Contract Lead Azure Platform Engineer

They are seeking a Contract Lead Azure Platform Engineer to design and deliver an enterprise-scale Azure platform, integrating it with existing infrastructure and leading the development process.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-grade Azure landing zones for a greenfield environment
- Lead the discovery, design and iterative development of the Azure platform
- Build secure, scalable and resilient cloud architectures aligned with enterprise best practice
- Integrate Azure services with existing on-premise legacy estates
- Work closely with the Solution Director (AI & Data) and wider stakeholders to define the platform roadmap
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout the engagement
- Support the adoption of Microsoft Fabric and associated Azure services where appropriate
Skills
- Extensive experience architecting enterprise-scale solutions on Microsoft Azure
- Proven expertise designing and implementing Azure Landing Zones within complex enterprise environments
- Strong experience integrating Azure with on-premise infrastructure and legacy systems
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and its associated Azure services
- Experience delivering greenfield cloud platforms from discovery through to implementation
- Ability to develop cloud platforms iteratively, balancing immediate business needs with long-term scalability
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
