[Remote] Exterior Trim engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Apolis is a company looking for an Exterior Trim engineer. The role involves designing automotive exterior trim components and collaborating with suppliers to support vehicle development milestones.
Responsibilities
- Design of automotive Exterior trim component in a DRE role
- Develop and execute Exterior Trim system requirements for Automotive (Cars and SUVs)
- Complete and release exterior components, sub-system and detail designs (Bumper, Facia, Cladding, Garnish, Spoiler etc)
- Collaborate with key Exterior system and plastic component suppliers and support overall vehicle development milestones and prototype/production build events
- Perform feasibility and packaging study
- In-depth knowledge of Plastic tooling and hands on experience in Catia V6 required
Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive exterior / bumper components and subsystem
- Knowledge of Plastic manufacturing technologies
- In-depth knowledge of Plastic tooling
- Hands on experience in Catia V6
