[Remote] Ingeniero mecánico
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ALTEN Mexico is a subsidiary of ALTEN Group, a leader in engineering and information technology. They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Tooling Specialist) to design and develop tooling solutions that enhance manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop tooling, fixtures, jigs, and gauges for manufacturing and assembly lines
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks or CATIA
- Apply advanced GD&T and iterate designs based on production feedback
- Generate and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and BOMs
- Collaborate daily with onshore engineering teams (English required)
- Support manufacturing with DFMA principles and resolve shop-floor design questions
- Deliver progress updates, weekly reports, and final project documentation
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design (mechanical focus) or related field
- Experience in tooling / fixtures design
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks or CATIA
- Advanced application of GD&T in production drawings
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Experience with FEA / simulation, DFMA, and PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill)
- Ability to work in agile environments and collaborate across time zones
- Collaborate daily with onshore engineering teams (English required)
