[Remote] Senior Backend Engineer

They are seeking a skilled professional to design, build, and maintain backend systems for a leading e-commerce marketplace, emphasizing technical collaboration and engineering excellence.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers to translate requirements into technical solutions and architecture
- Design, implement, and document APIs for use by engineering teams and third-party integrations
- Guide architectural design discussions and provide technical direction for backend systems
- Develop and support Airflow data pipelines using Python for both real-time and batch processing needs
Skills
- Minimum 7 years of experience in backend engineering roles
- At least 3 years writing production code in Go (Golang)
- Demonstrated experience designing and operating distributed systems on GCP or a similar cloud platform
- Proven ability to design and maintain REST and gRPC APIs, with hands-on experience with Airflow and message streaming platforms like Kafka
