[Remote] Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Unity Talent Solutions is representing a venture-backed AI medtech spinout focused on developing software that detects diseases through ECG analysis. The role involves working with the Head of Software Engineering to build and maintain backend services and APIs, manage cloud infrastructure, and support machine learning model deployment.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs (Python/Flask or Django) for clinical AI inference and data processing
- Develop clinician and admin web portals
- Manage cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, monitoring, and security controls
- Support ML model deployment alongside the AI research team
- Contribute to ECG data ingestion and EHR integrations (FHIR, HL7)
- Work within the software development lifecycle under IEC 62304 and contribute to regulatory documentation
Skills
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience (backend and frontend, production environments)
- Strong Python skills with Flask or Django
- Professional GCP and CI/CD experience
- Solid testing, version control, and code review practice
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science or equivalent
- React/TypeScript frontend experience
- Exposure to regulated software (IEC 62304, ISO 13485) or healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM)
- ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch) or MLOps experience (Vertex, MLFlow)
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles or GDPR/UK DPA compliance
