[Remote] Technical Writer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Success Matcher Recruitment is partnering with an AI-focused developer tools company that is building essential infrastructure for AI agents and Large Language Models. They are seeking a Technical Writer to own the documentation surface end-to-end, ensuring developers have reliable and clear documentation for their products.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain the API reference, SDK guides, quickstarts, tutorials, and cookbooks
- Review existing documentation, identify missing or broken paths, and ship high-leverage fixes fast to improve the time-to-first-call path
- Write technical content that optimizes organic discovery—both traditional developer SEO and LLM discoverability (ensuring the product is accurately cited in ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity)
- Work directly within the repository using Markdown, MDX, Git, and PR workflows, establishing the docs contribution workflow for the engineering team
- Propose and execute a 6-month documentation plan tied directly to the product roadmap, while closing user feedback loops from GitHub, Discord, and customer support
Skills
- 2 to 8 years of dedicated experience writing highly technical developer documentation for API or dev-tool companies
- Ability to read and understand Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript
- Comfort interacting directly with REST APIs
- Deep familiarity with Git/GitHub workflows, Markdown, MDX, doc site frameworks, and modern SEO tools
- A self-starter who thrives in a remote-first environment with high velocity, low hierarchy, and massive autonomy
