[Remote] VP, Advisor Consultant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. TIAA is a global investment leader that manages public and private assets for clients worldwide. The Advisor Consultant will manage a defined territory, performing external sales functions to drive sales across all products offered by Nuveen while collaborating with team members to maintain client relationships and identify new opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop consultative relationships with financial advisors across the wire, independent and RIA distribution channels in an effort to grow the market share of Nuveen’s products and drive revenue for the firm
  • Effectively communicate in depth understanding of Nuveen’s solutions, capital markets and industry trends
  • Incorporate data analytics into territory to identify best opportunities for success
  • Work effectively in a team environment with Market Leader, Advisor Consultants, Specialists and Internal Advisor Consultants in market
  • Manage pipeline process to keep track of opportunities through different stages of sales process
  • Collaborate and share best practices across the regional teams
  • Support US Wealth Advisory Services broader campaigns and initiatives as needed on the entire product suite
  • Conduct discovery work to review the opportunities within our client’s asset allocation and determine Nuveen investment solutions that may fit within their recommended allocations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with centers of influence in territory
  • Attend industry conferences/events

Skills

  • 3+ years of wholesaling experience
  • 5+ years of wholesaling experience
  • FINRA Series 7 & 63 (or combination of 63 & 65); can be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A strong combination of sales and analytical skills
  • Significant knowledge of the financial markets, both equity and fixed income, and the ability to articulate investment discipline with a deep understanding of the process and specific portfolios
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to profile clients
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills; ability to analyze and prioritize large amounts of information
