[Remote] Marketing Associate
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Convective Capital is a venture fund focused on investing in technology aimed at enhancing resilience against climate-driven disasters. The Marketing Associate will be responsible for managing content and communications, supporting events, and engaging with the Updraft network to drive growth and maintain relationships in the climate resilience sector.
Responsibilities
- Own our presence across X/Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram for Convective, Disasterproof and the Red Sky Summit
- Repurpose podcast and event content into short-form clips, quote cards, and social copy
- Write and edit episode show notes, newsletters, blog posts, and LinkedIn articles
- Develop and execute a content calendar that keeps our channels active and consistent
- Research and source potential Disasterproof guests across founder, science, policy, and operator communities
- Manage guest outreach and booking logistics from first contact through recording
- Coordinate episode assets — titles, descriptions, thumbnails — across platforms
- Drive episode promotion from launch through ongoing distribution
- Support planning and execution of Convective events including the Red Sky Summit, including logistics, promotion, and on-site coordination
- Draft invitations, run-of-show materials, and post-event recaps
- Help maintain and update the Updraft member database — keeping contacts, profiles, and tags current
- Support outreach to grow and engage the network
- Assist with Updraft communications including newsletters and updates
- Track performance across podcast platforms (Spotify, Apple, YouTube), social channels, and email
- Compile regular performance snapshots and surface growth opportunities
- Use data to inform what's working and recommend what to do more of
Skills
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing, content, media, or a related field
- Strong writer who can adapt tone and voice across formats — from a tweet to a briefing doc
- Organized and proactive — you manage multiple workstreams without dropping things
- Comfortable with Canva, social scheduling platforms, and AI tools
- Genuine interest in climate resilience, disaster tech, startups, and media
- Experience with podcasting, events, or community/network management a plus
