[Remote] VP Clinical Development
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hlx Life Sciences is a well-funded, late-stage biotechnology company expanding its Clinical Development leadership team. They are seeking a Vice President, Clinical Development to lead the clinical strategy for multiple rare kidney disease programmes, collaborating with regulatory agencies and building relationships with nephrology experts.
Responsibilities
- Lead clinical development strategy across multiple global nephrology programmes
- Act as the Global Development Physician Lead within a cross-functional programme leadership team
- Provide strategic oversight from early development through NDA/BLA submission
- Design and oversee Phase I-IV clinical studies
- Partner closely with Regulatory, Biometrics, Medical Affairs, Safety and Commercial teams
- Present programme strategy and data to executive leadership and external stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international nephrology experts and investigators
- Mentor and develop members of the Clinical Development organisation
Skills
- MD
- 12+ years of clinical development experience within biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies
- Significant experience leading global clinical programmes
- Strong regulatory experience, ideally including NDA and/or BLA submissions
- Deep understanding of rare kidney diseases, glomerular disease or adjacent nephrology indications
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams within a matrix environment
- Previous people leadership experience
- MD/PhD advantageous
- Board-certified Nephrologist strongly preferred
